On Highway 56, just north of the junction with Highway 1 (Trans Canada Hwy). The barn stands about 50 feet west of Highway 56, so is very visible to anyone driving by. Originally designed as a horse stable, hence the small air vents. When it became a dairy barn in the 1920s, more light was needed to milk the cows, and the larger windows were installed. Bell farm, true round barn, stone, conical roof, silo protrudes through the roof. Built by A.J. Osment for the Qu'Appelle Valley Farming Company. They need to raise about a million dollars to rebuild the barn, and to incorporate tourist and parking facilities. Check their web site www.bellbarn.com.
