It was then rebuilt with handmade bricks. The front entrance door was surrounded by green, yellow, and pink glass. A strange feature, which has been explained, the locks on all the doors were installed upside down. At 1449 Smyser Av. Razed in 1940 to make room for the flood wall.

This was the first round barn built in Fulton County and was built for Elmer and Lola (Kindig) Wideman by the wife's relatives, the Kindigs. This started the Kindigs building round barns. They built many more round barns in Fulton and surrounding counties. C.V. Kindig Construction consisted of the father Charles Vallandingham ("Lan") Kindig and his sons, Cleve ("Pete"), Roy, and Oral ("Hap" - short for Happy because he was always smiling.) It was sold to Paul Cox c1950; after Cox died, it was sold to Tom Bauters in 2004. On Nov 6, 2008 Workmen began removing shingles from the barn in preparation to dismantle it and move it to Martha's Vineyard, MA. The owner Tom Bauters tried to donate it locally so it could be kept in Fulton County, but there were no takers. He donated it to Rick Anderson of West Tisbury, MA, who is working with the Martha's Vineyard Historical Society. It will possibly be a museum or community center or Farmers Market.

Was used as a dairy barn, therefore it has a double floor to keep hay chafe out of the milk. There are some hand-hewn beams and some saw-cut beams. There are wooden pegs that hold all major beams together.

The new owners have had the entire roof removed; the structure straightened and then reattached. They have replaced the windows with correct wood-framed windows. They've been able to reuse nearly 90% of the original wood. Most of what has been replaced are the doors, the lower cladding on the northwest side of the barn, and the cupola. They were even lucky enough to find the correct door track for this barn from a donor barn. The framing and exterior restoration work was completed by Amish craftsmen. Considering they started on it in April (2007) they are coming along very well.

Duvall, round, red vertical siding, windowed cupola, 2-pitch conical roof, date inside 1914, very good condition.
