Iron bridge (IL47, 5-span - Demolished Feb 2003) across Illinois River in Morris, Grundy County, IL. A new 4-lane bridge has replaced this bridge. 2 lanes of the new bridge (on the W. side of this bridge) were opened Oct 2002. This iron bridge will be demolished during Feb & Mar 2003. The 2nd 2 lanes of the new bridge will be completed in 2004 on the E. side of the 1st 2 lanes (where the old bridge was). (N41 21.222 W88 25.288) Photos 1-19-03.
