(Goat Island, 32', 1972, 23-20-A) across Zumbro River in Mantorville, Dodge County, MN. S. of 3rd St. The island was named Goat Island because goats were taken over there to eat the grass and they could not get back off the island. A building was converted to a covered bridge crossing over to Goat Island. (4-11-03, N44° 03.86', W92° 45.58') Photo by Jean Trester, submitted by Mike MacCarter.
