Some Facts About the Round Barn.
The Original barn was badly Vandalized & many of the timbers were rotten. Volunteers were able to save the livestock feeders from the original barn as well as the interior gates & some of the flooring. The original Beaver Creek round barn was built in 1910/11 by Mr. Bob Johnson & 15 American Indian men who he paid $2.00 a day. The barn has an interior ring used to train horses & is very similar to the Peter French round barn in Diamond, Oregon. There are approximately 40,000 cedar shingles on the roof.
